About Greenland Tree Service
A Minonk tree service built on a construction background. 8 years serving our neighbors.
Our Story
Greenland Tree Service didn’t start out as a tree company. We began as a local construction business, building and repairing for the neighbors and families in our community.
That changed on a spring day after a nasty rainstorm. A local insurance company called to ask if we could remove a tree that had fallen on a structure. We told them we’d take care of it, and we did. That one call was the beginning of Greenland Tree Service.
Word got around, and more calls started coming in. Around the same time, a local one-man tree service was getting ready to retire and wind down his business. As he closed up shop, we purchased his equipment and took over the territory we had both served, carrying on the work he had done for the community for years.
As our equipment and client base grew, we gradually stepped away from construction and committed full-time to tree service. Eight years later, we’re still here, and still just as committed to the community that gave us our start.
What We Bring to Every Job
Our construction background shapes how we work today. We understand structures, we know how to work safely around homes and buildings, and we treat every property as if it were our own.
We’ve invested in the right equipment to do the job well: a bucket truck, specialized rigging and ropes, chain saws, a skid steer, a chipper, and a stump grinder. That equipment lets us take down trees in tight spaces, even when they hang over a house, a driveway, or a neighbor’s yard. When the ground is soft, we put down mats to protect your lawn, and we won’t bring heavy equipment onto wet ground that it could damage.
We’re fully insured for your property, our crew, and our equipment, so you can have peace of mind from the moment we arrive to the moment we leave.
Built on Storm Response
Our business was born from a storm, and storm cleanup is still at the heart of what we do. When a tree comes down on your home, garage, or property, we’ll be there as soon as it’s safe.
Our Promise
Whether it’s an emergency removal, a routine trim, or a stump that’s been in your way for years, we show up, do the job right, and leave your property clean. We’re proud to care for the trees, homes, and properties of the community that gave us our start, and we look forward to serving you.
